Architecture awards 2025

There are three awards up for grabs in the Church Architecture Awards 2025, all of which are run in partnership with the Ecclesiastical Architects & Surveyors Association (EASA).

We are thrilled to invite architects and surveyors to submit their finest work for recognition in the Church Architecture Awards 2025.

These prestigious awards, run in partnership with the Ecclesiastical Architects & Surveyors Association (EASA), celebrate excellence in church architecture and conservation. If you have worked on a remarkable church project, we encourage you to submit your entry and gain well deserved recognition in the field of church architecture.

Please note that the submissions process has changed significantly this year.

Read the guidelines carefully and get in touch if you have any questions.

If you win any of the awards you will be required to give an online lecture, to EASA members and invited others, about your scheme.

  • Open for submissions: 1 May 2025

  • Closing date for submissions: 9 July 2025 (midday)

The awards are:

The King of Prussia Gold Medal Award

Honouring outstanding church conservation or repair work, this award is presented to the architect responsible for the winning project. The recipient will receive the highly esteemed King of Prussia Gold Medal and be asked to deliver an online lecture to EASA members and other sector representatives. The winning church or chapel will be awarded a £500 prize.

The Presidents' Award

Recognising exceptional new church buildings, re-orderings, extensions, or alterations to existing church structures, this award is granted to the designer. The recipient will be asked to deliver an online lecture to EASA members and other sector representatives. The winning church or chapel will receive a unique Chalice and Paten on loan and a £500 prize.

Young Church Architect or Surveyor of the Year Award

This special award highlights the talent of an architect or surveyor under the age of 40 who was responsible for a scheme entered in either the King of Prussia Gold Medal Award or the Presidents' Award categories. The recipient will receive a beautifully crafted stained glass roundel and a cash prize sponsored by Ecclesiastical Insurance. They will also be asked to deliver an online lecture to EASA members and other sector representatives.

For the church architecture awards it is usually architects and surveyors who make the submission. If you represent a church, chapel or meeting house, please speak to your architect or surveyor about making a submission.

There is a short form to complete:

  • Contact details for this submission
  • Architect and church details
  • Project title and short description

Make your submission by creating two graphic panels:

  • Illustrate your project using plans, images and text to communicate the scheme
  • Design your panels in landscape format, at A2 size
  • Submit the panels as print ready, high resolution PDFs (please ensure all text can be read)
  • You can submit updated panels anytime up to the closing date
  • There are examples of panels on display at the awards event in the gallery below or you can download a PDF example here

Include information which shows why your project is a great example of the high quality work celebrated by the King of Prussia Gold Medal Award or the Presidents’ Award, if you have included any innovative techniques and the impact of the work on the church.

To send us your panels:

  • Please ensure the filenames correspond to your project title so that we can match up files sent with forms completed
  • You will be able to upload your panels as part of completing the form
