This delightful Grade I Listed church is situated at the top of the hill overlooking the picturesque Waveney Valley where peace and tranquillity can be found in abundance.

Dates from the 13th century and is thought to have replaced an earlier Saxon preaching cross, the remains of which are preserved in a glass case in the south transept.

 The first records of the church indicate it was rebuilt some time after 1066 by the Lord of the Manor, William Paganel, who gave it, with other possessions of his, to Drax Priory in the time of Archbishop Thurstan (1119–1140).
