Consecrated in 1914, St Wilfrid’s is designated as a ‘Major Parish Church’ and is the 38th largest parish church in England. The church is a wonderful example of the work of Temple Moore and his son in law, Leslie Moore.
The church features stained glass windows by Victor Milner and Harry Harvey, along with a Harrison & Harrison organ.
The Parish Hall is a unique building dating from 1934, with a ‘lamella’ roof and charming cloisters. At the rear of the church there is quiet green space and the tenanted cottage, also dating from the 1930’s.
