St Michael & All Angels

St Michael’s dates from the 13th century with fascinating features including a rare two-manual 19th century pipe organ.
This simple Norman church was built about 1130, consisting of an aisle less nave and a chancel possibly with a semi circular apse. The chancel arch and south doorway are outstanding specimens of the famous Herefordshire School of Romanesque Sculpture.
In addition, the church is home to a fantastic pair of 15th century wrought-iron bracket candelabra. Each can hold five candles with the iron work capable of being extended outwards from the walls of the chancel when required for use. This is an extremely rare feature.
