Though most of the present building is 14th and 15th century, there is a Norman column in the north aisle.

The Norman zigzag moulding over the south door was replicated by a much later craftsman in the decorative woodwork on the Jacobean pulpit.

The church is known for its 15th century bench ends, most famously a series of three that portray a tale of vengeance involving a cleric, possibly the then Abbot of Glastonbury. He is depicted as a fox in ecclesiastical robes with crozier and mitre.
