The present church building almost certainly has it origins around the Norman Conquest. There have been modifications to the building notable in the 14th and 19th centuries. It has a semicircle shape Norman arch.

The 14th century font is hand hewn from the Forest of Dean Stone. It has a deep basin and the plinth was added during the 19th century.
