The church was built as a mission church for the small community of New Leake, but has now replaced the churches of Midville and Eastville and serves those villages as well.

It is an oblong red brick building with a bell turret and was built and opened around 1896. Small and unassuming, the church is a lovely reminder of life in the Lincolnshire Fens.
