St John’s is an Anglican church located at the intersection of East Dulwich Road and Adys Road in East Dulwich. It is a grade II listed building of architectural and historic importance.

It was designed by architect Charles Bailey and completed in 1863-5 with vestries added in 1883 by A Burt, and a choir vestry in 1914 by HS Rogers. It was reconstructed internally in 1951 by JBS Comper after bomb damage. In 1996, a church hall extension was added to the church, providing a new west end entrance. The church was designed in a traditional style to match the existing building. Architects were P & B Anstell-Evans.

The rebuilding after war damage was extensive. Comper's vault increases the interest and value of the design especially when it is considered together with the extraordinary range of high quality 20th century furnishings such as the Baldachino over the High Altar, stained glass windows and the canopy over the Lady Chapel altar designed by Ninian Comper. Sebastian Comper raised the walls and added clerestory windows and further stained glass windows as well as stations of the cross and a choir gallery.

In the grounds is a war memorial is in the style of a Calvary. There is a linked triptych inside the church where the names of parishioners whose lives were lost in World War I are listed. It was built to be reminiscent of wayside shrines found in France and Belgium at the time the WWI.
