Built in 1844, St James the Less is a focal point of heritage in the Rossendale Valley, boasting a beautiful five-bay nave and a majestic arch braced king-post timber roof. While its historic stone exterior features a detailed crucifixion relief carving on the west gable, its beautifully reordered modern sanctuary is uniquely anchored by liturgical furnishings crafted from magnificent gold Brazilian granite.
