The oldest parts of the church date from the early 14th century with additions made in the 15th century resulting in the present-day church. It was substantially restored during the Victorian era. Its history and care over the years is evident as you explore the church. The west window in the north Isle and porch window include fragments of medieval glass from the 14th and 15th centuries. After the restoration in1873, a wall painting depicting the Ascension of Christ was added above the chancel arch.

The church has a vibrant community and there are many signs of church life as you visit from beautiful banners to a well stocked children’s corner.
