Built in 1842, the Jerusalem Chapel was later remodelled in the 1870s to resemble an amphitheater.

Its large, near square plan looks more like a town hall than a chapel, with an unpainted stucco exterior. There is a huge mahogany freestanding pulpit with polished brass ornamentation, under a moulded ceiling of radiating patterns.
