Set away from its village, Buckland's church looks unappealing at first because it is completely rendered on the outside.

But inside it is a fine church with an Early English chancel and 15th century nave.

Above the south doorway is a small Norman sculpture of a seated Christ, and inside, a very much earlier, probably German, slate relief. Some decoration is ancient with linen fold decoration.
