We would like to welcome you and introduce you to Goring United Reformed Church. You will find that we are a friendly bunch. Goring seeks to provide a happy atmosphere in worship and social activities.
Goring was a Congregational Church founded in August 1940. The present church building opened in September 1961.
The United Reformed Church was formed in October 1972 by the union of the Presbyterian Church of England and the Congregational Church in England and Wales. In 1981 it entered into union with the Reformed Churches of Christ and in the year 2000 with the Congregational Union of Scotland.
These churches being ‘United’ and of the ‘Reformed’ tradition hence The United Reformed Church.
