The church of St Andrew was built in 1794 to replace earlier buildings on the site.

The Cathedral has a fascinating history that stretches back over a century and a half. We’d love to share it with you.

Great Budworth is a very pretty village with houses of many ages and kinds, and at its heart sits St Mary's, a lovely red sandstone church dating mainly from the 15th and 16th centuries, though the Lady Chapel dates back to the 14th century.

Described as one of the prettiest and best proportioned churches of the Peak, it stands proud in a small hillside village and one of the highest villages in England.

The present building dates back to the 13th century, but there is reason to believe that a church existed before this date and certainly by 1190.

St Mary & St Peter is situation east of main village on a high mound; a very peaceful location, of particular note are the Stations of the Cross which are mounted on the walls around the church.

The limestone parish church, which is dedicated to St George & St Lawrence, dates from the 11th century and restored in 1865. It is believed to be the only parish church in England to be dedicated jointly to these two saints.

​The last bomb site in Liverpool, St Luke’s is testament to the brave people who lived and died during the May Blitz of 1941.

Lying close to the River Mersey near the Royal Liver Building, the so called Sailors Church was originally two medieval chapels, one dedicated to Our Lady of the Quay and one to St Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors.

The stunning interior of Caen stone evokes the great Gothic cathedrals of Amiens and Reims; the church is also home to a superb collection of stained glass windows by Kempe and others. 

A delightful grade II listed parish church with a tower or Saxon origin, Norman nave beautiful Norman arches, the church is set in the picturesque Lincolnshire countryside.
