Christ Church was built in 1849 as the daughter church of St Alfege in West Greenwich.

Beautiful 14th century Grade II* building in the small Somerset village of Babcary.

The church is 14th century, with a Jacobean pulpit as well as on the south side of the chancel arch, there is a curious ribbed hagioscope or'squint'.

The church dates from around 1450 and is built of red sandstone, with a tall, typically Somerset tower and contains a fabulous rood turret housing the spiral stair leading to the top of the rood screen.
