A church has stood on this site for centuries, with St Ternan's being designated a parish church by the late 12th century.

St Patrick's church, built 1892 located in the heart of the village knows as Derrymacash.

In a tranquil setting in a green glen and close to the rushing River Esk, Cortachy Church is close to the gates of the castle, to which it belongs.

For over 1500 years a church has stood on the banks of Loch Lomond.

The church stands at the centre of the beautiful village of St Tudy and was founded at this site in the 6th century. It dates mainly from the 15th century.

The mines are gone but the church still stand proudly on the hillside and welcoming everyone who wishes to enter.

This is the only church anywhere dedicated to St Meubred. It has one of the best churchyard crosses in the country, 9th century with knot work scrolls, ring chain and plait work. You can also find our fascinating carved medieval bench ends.

The history of Dunkeld can be traced to the 9th century but no building of this period survives: the present Cathedral dates from 1318.

St John's boasts magnificent Gothic revival architecture, with its impressive tower and spire, and replaced the previous church on the site.
