Polesworth Abbey welcomes visitors every day, to the abbey, gatehouse, cloister and refectory.

The priory was founded in the 12th century, but the Perpendicular features of the present church date from a 1480s rebuilding by Bishop Alcock of Worcester after he visited the priory to investigate its poor state.

Its very tall spire, at 281ft (86m), is the most arresting thing about St Elphin's.

This 12th century church lies in the River Severn flood plain, surrounded by its peaceful churchyard consecrated in 1325, with a backdrop of the Malvern Hills.
