A church in a field which has been here for at least 850 years.

Built mid-way through the 19th century, the church is undoubtedly one of the most significant and architecturally important buildings in Wood Green and sits in a privileged position at the top of what was once known as Jolly Butchers Hill.

Come with us to a 13th century church where you can climb 92 steps to see far-reaching views across the Essex countryside.

Used by generations of villagers for worship, we are proud to open for visitors most days.

A surprisingly bright and spacious church, All Saints was built in 1856 and having from a fire in 1940, was rededicated in the 1952.

Unearth over 900 years of history and explore the awe inspiring Cathedral, view fascinating exhibitions, enjoy the Refectory café and experience the tranquillity of the Herb and Japanese Gardens.

A light airy modernist building built of red brick in the 1950s, based around an arch shape which is echoed in the simple stained glass windows which gives the design a slightly Scandinavian feel.

The magnificent pinaccled tower of St Giles, built around 1480, dominates the surrounding village and is reputed to be the best tower in the Mendips.
