St Columba’s church, Long Tower, is one of the city's most cherished sacred landmarks, steeped in history and standing proudly near the ancient city walls in the Long Tower area.

Reference to St Martin’s church occurs in the Matriculus of 1220 when Hugh de Grantmesnil a powerful baron who owned much land in Leicestershire, gave it to the Abbot of Ware, who was Proctor of the monks of St. Evroult in Normandy, France.

This is one of those extraordinarily atmospheric churches that escaped the Victorian improvers.

St John's church, Doddington sits at around 1000ft on the side of Titterstone Clee Hill, with stunning views to Worcestershire and Wales.

St Illtyd’s is one of the oldest Catholic Churches in Wales, established in 1846 soon after Catholic Emancipation.

The church was largely rebuilt in 1859 and 1860 but has a 15th century tower, with a Tudor window and doorway.

The church dates back to Saxon times and was largely rebuilt between 1864 and 1867, it features 12th century herringbone masonry on the south wall, rather unique in this part of the country.
