Find a church

The church is remotely situated, deep in the Black Mountains (Brecon Beacons National Park) in a large and ancient churchyard.

We’re on many cycle routes and the terrain is perfect cycling country and also, if you’re on a narrow boat on the canal, you can walk from Golden Nook Bridge to find us.

The church gives the impression of a typical English village church, sitting at an angle to the geometry of the surrounding roads within its church yard.

The church dates from 12th century, set in the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The chapel was built in the mid 14th century when the stone bridge replaced a wooden one, although the upper part, including the west front, was rebuilt in 1847-8.
