St Mark’s Hadlow Down was consecrated in 1836, and rebuilt just before the First World War.

Our delightful church is situated in the picturesque village of Bangor on Dee overlooking the river and the 16th century cobbled bridge.

Our medieval church was originally one of two in the town, St Peter's is now in the custody of English Heritage.

This oldest parts of this church date from the 13th century, when a simple rectangular building with a tower was erected on the hillside.

The church was built c1230 by the Knights Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem.
