St Mark's church was built in 1847 to serve the people of Cautley, which is a sparsely populated dale running north from Sedbergh towards Kirkby Stephen.

Standing in a beautiful valley deep in the Chilterns, this Quaker meeting house dates from 1688 and was one of the first to be purpose built.

The Stapleton Chantry Chapel, begun in 1299 at the behest of Miles de Stapleton, (killed with two sons at Bannockburn in 1314, was built with exceptionally fine craftsmanship.

14th and 15th century church with magnificent tombs of some old Dukes of Suffolk.

Presteigne is only just in Wales, the border here being formed by the River Lugg, which flows a few yards to the north of the church.

Set in the heart of Sedbergh in a beautifully maintained churchyard the church, which dates from 1130, is a haven of peace.
