We are a lively and diverse community in the heart of Clapham Park.

The origins of the church go back to 1887 when a preaching station was set up in a house in Faulkner Street, in 1908 a small site was bought in Walker Street and a 'tin tabernacle' was erected as a Congregational Church.

St Marylebone is the UK’s grandest Regency parish church just metres from Madame Tussaud’s and Britain’s favourite high street.

The successor church to the Spanish Embassy chapel by Bonomi was built by his great grandson, Edward Goldie, following a limited competition.

In medieval days the parish of Godstone stretched for eleven miles along the Roman Road from Marden Park in the north to Felbridge in the south, at no point was it more than two miles wide.

St Joseph’s was founded as a Mission from nearby Cobridge in 1895 and in 1925 work started on the present church designed in the north Italian Lombardic or Romanesque style by the young architect JS Brocklesby.

Our church is an attractive modern building offering facilities which are much used and appreciated by the local community, it houses the Christ Church Embroidery of interest to visitors.
