A 13th century collegiate church with Saxon remains, of particular interest is a Saxon cross reconstructed using both original late 8th century and modern replacement sections of stonework.

A delightful Norman church with a 12th century battlemented tower, a sculpted tympanum, an external Sanctus bell, and several listed chest tombs in the churchyard.

Our history is inexorably entwined with some of the most radical and progressive developments of the modern age, and yet the core principles at the centre of our congregation remain as true today as they were when the church began.

Mount Zion Chapel was opened in 1876, the same year in which the Midland Railway Company opened the famous Settle to Carlisle railway, serving the local community of railway employees and farmers.
