St Michael's is a village church which reflects the changes in church style which have occurred over the last 800 years, from the 11th century carving over the vestry entrance.

A strong and magnificent pile which commands the attention of all judicious observers, built and fitted out between 1714 and 1729, St George in the East was one of fifty new churches planned for London, although only twelve were completed.

Our church is an attractive modern building offering facilities which are much used and appreciated by the local community, it houses the Christ Church Embroidery of interest to visitors.
