Beautiful Lincolnshire church with an unusual claim, it has a peal of bells named after it!

St Peter & St Paul is first mentioned in the Domesday Book and is primarily 14th century, restored by James Fowler in 1866 and 1889.

St Mary's is set in a part of Leicester where the city's medieval past can still be imagined: here are the castle mound and the castle walls, approached from the south via a castle gateway.

A Victorian Decorated Gothic revival by Stephen Lewin in 1850 which looks like stone from a distance but is actually built of brick.

An interesting example of a 1950s church, one of many built by Birmingham diocese to cater for the needs of the people living in the outer ring of the city which was expanding rapidly at the time.

Bishop Methodist is the oldest Methodist Church in Leicester and the oldest building in the Town Hall Square, being a Grade II listed Chapel of 1815, designed by Revd William Jenkins, Methodist Minister and architect.

Sir Roger de Montalt, a baron during the reign of Henry VIII, gifted the land on which St Mary's was built.

Grade II listed Baptist church building erected in the 1830s Georgian period, hosting a large tracker action organ and the William Carey museum.

No other church can boast pew ends that were eaten off by horses being stabled overnight by Oliver Cromwell's army during the Battle of Winceby!

This rural church contains extensive wall paintings that were hidden from view until a bomb dropped nearby in World War Two, disturbing the plaster, which was removed, revealing the medieval wall paintings.
