St Adelwold’s is unusual as there are two churches situated within one churchyard.

The first view one has of the village is that of the tower of the greenstone church of St Margaret with its dominating red clock. Created in 1787 by horologist Edmund Howard, the long drop clock is truly a remarkable piece of engineering.

St Luke’s is a small village church built of brown ironstone and has a heavily weathered appearance.

Situated at the highest point within the village, enables you to get the most fantastic views of the Lincolnshire Wolds, the Viking Way and the rolling countryside.

The inside arcades are 13th century and both are of four bays with low double chamfered arches.

Traditional town centre Central Hall with a 1929 'Rank cinema style' frontage and a magnificent fully restored Nicholson & Lord organ which can be heard (or played) by arrangement.

St Matthew’s church has an amazingly rich history and preserved records to show it.

Built of ironstone and chalk, St Peter's has undergone much restoration yet still retains its rural Lincolnshire charm.

There has been a chapel on this site since 1835.
