The first church was built in the 13th century and in 1227 William de Withern was appointed vicar.

All Saints, with its beautiful stained glass east window, is a peaceful, welcoming church and it's well kept churchyard contains a 13th century gravestone and village war memorial.

Built in 1762-3 by J Warner of Caistor using medieval masonry, externally it is plain, pedestrian, but very pleasant.

As you round the corner you are in for a great surprise, over the south porch is a lovely, if weathered, panel of Our Lady of Pity, one of the most popular images in late medieval English iconography.
