St Mary's looks like two, or even three, churches magicked together, with its rather grand chancel and an exceptional east window that is often cited as an example of Decorated window tracery at its finest.

St Mary & All Saints is one of the finest structures in Northamptonshire and its royal connections provide much interest for every visitor.

The church is on the west side of the village, close to open farmland, it is a stern looking building on the outside, refaced in Bath stone in the 19th century, when the church was over thoroughly restored by William Butterfield.

The church stands on an imposing site with the east wall of the chancel facing Hall Yard.
