Come with us to a 13th century church where you can climb 92 steps to see far-reaching views across the Essex countryside.

This town centre church dates from the early 13th century but was much rebuilt following a fire in 1290 which devastated much of the town.

This church was built in 1154AD to extend an old Saxon church and is central to the village of Abbots Langley.

The Meeting House dates to 1663, making it the earliest in the country still in use. 

Here the church goes with the house, or rather tower, for the outstanding feature of Layer Marney Tower is the huge brick gatehouse built by Sir Henry Marney, who became the first Lord Marney.

St Peter's is bounded not only by a peaceful churchyard, but playing fields and the Lido park.

A 15th century church of great architectural interest with exceptional flint flushwork, magnificent double hammer-beam roof with original colouring, wealth of furnishings 1850-1930 and ‘River of Life’ reredos 2014.

One of the earliest surviving churches in the region at 845AD and is Grade I listed.

Designed by Austin and Paley construction began back in 1908 and was completed by 1910.

There has been a church on the present site since medieval times, but our present church dates from 1720, with close ties to Buildwas Abbey and the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, we are in a stunning location overlooking the River Severn.

St Paul's was built in 1884, It was designed by Henry Shelmerdine as a traditional redbrick building with stained glass windows, a fine font and features in the chancel.

A lovely Victorian church recently redecorated and open for community, youth and children's activities.
