St Helen's Cross is a beautifully preserved late 12th century stone, probably a votive cross to St Helen Empress and mother of the first Christian Emperor of Rome.

St Baglan stands in splendid isolation in a wonderfully romantic position overlooking Caernarfon Bay reverberating with echoes of the renowned Mabinogion tales.

The church of St Mary dates from 1150. It is believed to have been built by the masons that were employed by the castle and whether this is true or not what is certain is that it is the place where they would have worshiped.

Visitors are often surprised to discover an unusually life like monument in the church to Sir Adrian Scrope who lived in nearby South Cockerington Hall in the 16th century.

The ancient church of St Tanwg is situated in the sand dunes at Llandanwg, it is reputed to have been founded in the 5th century by St Tanwg and is one of the oldest Christian foundations in Britain.

Whilst the tower is medieval the church was so rebuilt in the 17th and 18th century that that is its overriding appearance.
