Emmanuel Church

The church is Victorian and was built by the 10th Duke of St Albans for use by his family, estate workers and the villagers.

It was designed by SS Teulon who also built nearby Bestwood Lodge. The church is in the Early English style and inside are five memorial windows by William Morris and Co dating from 1911. The west end of the church is dominated by the memorial to Sybil the first wife of the 10th Duke of St Albans with memorial windows, a marble plaque and raised bust of Sybil sculpted by Princess Louise.
