Christ Church

Christ Church, Bala is a large Victorian town church in competent lancet style, designed by the architect Benjamin Ferrey. There are several stained glass windows, including one installed in 2007 gifted by Ysgol Beuno Sant, the local church school, showing the church, and the nearby lake and mountains.

An octagonal sandstone pulpit is of conventional form and has relief carved Evangelist figures, St Matthew, St Mark, St Luke and St John, to each of its four faces. A plaque in the chancel commemorates the late Revd Richard Pughe who is buried outside the eastern window. The floor of the church is constructed of Portland Stone, and has underfloor heating. The building is light and airy.
