All Saints

Hartest All Saints’ is a Grade I listed building with a C14 chancel, south side chapel and south aisle. The north aisle and side chapel are C15 and both aisles have octagonal piers and chamfered arches. There is a Jacobean pulpit, an east window by Burlison and Grylls (1880) and mostly C18 and C19 monuments.  The tower was rebuilt in 1652/3 along with the renewal of the Nave Roof which was again renewed in wider restoration work by J.D.Wyatt in 1879/80.

The work is to repair the South Chancel Roof due to a theft of the lead covering in October 2019.
