Cyfeiriad

Dolobran
Powys

It was built in about 1700, and consists of a brick built cottage and meeting house under one roof. Its story is entwined with the story of the Lloyd family of nearby Dolobran Hall, who became Quakers in the 17th century. The meeting house eventually fell into disuse in the 19th century, at which time all of its furniture and fittings were dispersed.

It was rediscovered in the 1950s and since then has been restored, with help from the Lloyd family. The interior is simple and friendly, with benches and a central table. There are meetings every Sunday.
