Statement on our Vice President

Published:

The National Churches Trust responds to allegations about one of our Vice Presidents.

Statement from the National Churches Trust:

“Huw Edwards has been one of the Vice Presidents of the National Churches Trust since 2013, and a strong supporter of church buildings throughout this period. We are shocked and saddened by the allegations that have been made, and our thoughts are with the families and individuals of all involved. We hope that Huw Edwards makes a speedy and lasting recovery. Like others we await the outcome of the investigation by the BBC into these matters.”

The National Churches Trust has 28 Vice Presidents who advance the cause of the charity in a number of ways. These are all unpaid voluntary positions.
