St Pauls Walden

A wall tablet in All Saints commemorates her baptism here in 1900, and a memorial in the churchyard commemorates her life.

The church itself is Perpendicular, with an extraordinary, incongruous baroque chancel, installed in 1727 as the gift of Edward Gilbert, the first Bowes-Lyon ancestor to live in the parish.

One of the treasures of the church is a 14th century window depicting the Virgin and Child, recently restored.
