Caroline Welch: Church Support Officer
Caroline joined the ExploreChurches team in August 2019 as the Wales Church Support Officer, leading on the Exploring Sacred Wales project to raise the profile of Wales' sacred heritage and put Welsh churches and chapels firmly on the map - celebrating their unique atmosphere, art and architecture, exploring their hidden histories and inspiring journeys of discovery around the new 'Wales Way'.
Caroline has 20 years experience working with historic churches, is a former Assistant Director of the Friends of Friendless Churches and lead conservation and heritage advisor at the London Borough of Camden. She has spent the last 4 years managing digital media for the Friends of Friendless Churches and writing blogs and articles for a wide range of local clients - from Welsh interior design, to glamping in Mongolian gers, to pop-up supper clubs! She has an MSc in historic conservation, a BA(hons) in English, and a passion for history and communication.
Caroline is a Welsh learner with strong family roots in rural Carmarthenshire. She lives in Llandeilo.
