St Paul

The church was designed by John Oldrid Scott and built in the 1890s. It is a well preserved example of a church by a nationally important architect, retaining many original features including an elaborate east window.

The repairs include reconditioning the north side of the chancel roof, which is in an exposed position close to the seafront; adjoining buildings create a vortex effect in strong winds. Recently it has shown signs of nail corrosion.
