St Micheal


St Michael's is a double-naved parish church with a 13th century tower, and 14th century nave. It has a 14th century niche which accommodates a 13th century effigy, memorial stones dating from the 14th century, and woodcarvings dating from the 15th century. The font, pulpit and remnants of box pews date from the Restoration period. The church is in a conservation area and stands within a large, churchyard with two lychgates. 

The project the grant will support is to install kitchen and toilets, as well as reordering, audio-visual facilities, heating and lighting.
