There has been such a church in Whitchurch as early as 800 AD and probably earlier.
Awarded £4,000 for repairs to spire shingles and timbers.
The church was built in 1896 by J L Pearson in the Early English style. It consists of a nave with north aisle, chancel and sanctuary. It has a 3-stage tower with shingled spire. The church replaced a 13th century church in Laverstoke Park.
