St Mary

St Mary's Eskadale is a fascinating fragment of Highland ecclesiastical heritage. Built in 1825 when Catholic worship was proscribed, and when those who continued to preach the faith were persecuted, it is remarkable that St Mary's was built, and that it has survived.

The church has been harled with a dense cement render, which has failed and has created the long-standing problem of water ingress. This project will see the removal of cement render to the external walls and replacement of the rainwater goods.
