The porch and the sturdy little tower were built in the 15th century. On the south side of the church is another beautiful Norman doorway. Above it is a row of strange carved heads.

Inside is a 12th century font with carvings of Adam and Eve in two of its 16 panels; the other 14 have trees, flowers and decorative patterns.

A gravestone in the churchyard commemorates Myrtilla 'negro slave to Mr Thos Beuchamp of Nevis. Buried Jan ye 6th 1705'.
