It replaced an earlier Chapel of Ease on the same site that was built in 1820. Only the tower if this building remains and is now a bat sanctuary. The church is listed because of the beautiful red brickwork inside the church. The exterior of the church is clad in flint and going inside is a big surprise. It can seat 350 comfortably. There is a Study Centre attached that was built in 2003 that is used regularly by local groups and can be hired out for private parties.
