St Germain's is a Grade II* medieval church. The church is constructed of coursed and squared limestone rubble, with some red brick and ashlar dressings, plain tiled roofs with stone coped gables. The main entrance is through the church tower, leading into the nave, the chancel, and vestry. The north transept is currently used for social gatherings with an accessible toilet and kitchenette.
The maintenance grant helped the church carry out urgent repairs identified in their Quinquennial Inspection Report including repairs to the stone parapet, removal of rotten window frames and replacing the flat roof on the north transept.
