A grant to help fund a project to stop water leaking in to the church through the roof. The work involved the replacement of the lead roofing to the Lady Chapel and Chancel. The existing building dates back to Norman times, with a number of 13th and 14th century additions. It has been the parish church of Much Wenlock for 900 years and is a prominent feature in the centre of the town. The church is used for a large number of community events including plays, concerts and recitals, meetings of local groups including arts groups and a youth cafe and fund-raising events and coffee mornings for a number of charities.
