Christ the King

The Church of Christ the King is modern in appearance, opened in 1979. Situated at the top of a hill in the townland of Strathroy, Omagh, the Church is of a flat roof structure and constructed of reinforced concrete.A local landowner, businessman and farmer named Eamonn Cunningham, gifted the parish the land to built the church on.

A £7,250 development grant will enable the church to investigate the source of water ingress and solutions to make the building water tight. Funding for the grant comes from the Department for Communities Historic Environment Division's Covid-19 Culture, Languages, Arts and Heritage Support Programme.
