All Saints Horton is a fine mid-nineteenth century inner-city parish church, built in 1864 by architect Thomas Healy. .t is a large church in a late C13 Decorated Gothic, the finest and most richly detailed of the Bradford churches of this period, with fine quality sandstone masonry, stained glass windows and alabaster pulpit and font. The dominant feature (and a Bradford landmark) is the fine tower abutting the south transept.
Rusting of iron bars has caused the iron to expand, and crack the surrounding stonework.Effect. Already three pieces of stonework have fallen from the windows, one narrowly missing someone standing below. A grant will help fund repairs to windows, installing new stonework, fixed into position with resin, dowels and lime mortar: A stabilizing bar will help prevent further damage due to any future rust jacking.
