St Martin’s Church in Horsley, Gloucestershire, has had its nave converted so that it can be used by a local school and for community and arts events, in addition to regular worship.

The BBC reports that the project included new stackable chairs in place of pews, new flooring, entrance, heating, kitchen and better disabled access and toilet provision.

The project was named ‘3 in 1 Horsley’ to reflect its intended use by the church, school and community, and resulted from fundraising of £250,000, including a grant from the Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust.
