Churches Trust Forum Conference 2016

Booking is now open for the 2016 Churches Trusts Forum Annual Conference in York on Thursday 19 May 2016.

The one-day conference will be a mix of presentations, discussions and workshops with guest speakers, with the opportunity to network and share inspiration. All trustees and volunteers from County Churches Trusts and local trusts from across the United Kingdom are invited, along with guests from the wider heritage and faith sectors.

The Churches Trust Forum helps local churches trusts in their work serving the needs of places of worship. It provides practical help to volunteers who deal with local issues.

The Yorkshire Historic Churches Trust will welcome delegates to the Merchant Taylors’ Hall. It has stood for 600 years as an important part of York’s past and present, and is a fascinating building. There will be an opportunity to learn more about it.

Along with the core issues of fundraising, grants and partnership working, this year the focus will be on craftsmanship and the beauty of churches and their vital social role.

The programme can be viewed here.

Marsh Award for Innovative Projects

The first winner of the Marsh Award for Innovative Projects will also be announced. This is a £1,000 prize provided by the Marsh Christian Trust, celebrating the most innovative projects made possible by improved access and new facilities in a place of worship within the last two years.

There are 50 early bird tickets at £32, with full rate tickets at £35.  Lunch, refreshments and the optional tour are included. The Churches Trust Forum advises you to book early; last year not everyone who wanted to attend could obtain a ticket.

Places can be booked online via Eventbrite.
